About what can I do about this @$$ hole I work with

What can I do about this @$$ hole I work with?
So there is a guy that I work with who is a complete jerk. Literally no one here likes him. He is one of those people who will argue anything with any one. He always has to have the last word and he always has to be right. We work for the corporate office of a trucking company. He was saying the other day how he doesn't associate with drivers and how the further away they stay from him, the better. I was thinking "really? because without them, you wouldn't have a job." On top of that, his dad is a mechanic here and his brother workson the dock. Both very respectable jobs - neither more glamorous than a driver. Now.... Work is in Nashville, TN. Most people that work in Nashville don't actually live in Nashville, or Davidson County (where Nashville is). When we first moved here, we looked at houses in all different areas and found one that we loved. Where we live is less commercialized, less trafficy, big yards, decent schools, etc. However the county we live in, as a whole, has a redneck - country reputation. He always makes comments about it and trys to slam on where we live. The funny thing is - he lives in the ghetto. He does live in Nashville, but in a not-very-good part of town and his house is probably about 15 years older than ours, smaller, and run down. Basically, if I was a guy, I would just deck him. It would make me feel SOOOOO good and I don't even think I would get in trouble because no one else likes him. I think people would actually clap. BUT since I can't really do that, what can I do to shut him up? I just wish I could think of the perfect come back. HELP?!?!

Answer 1 :
tell him don't hate because you cant afford my house better shut up before your shack comes crumbling down..with your ghetto ass!!! thank you ...any time you need a come back
Answer 2 :
Put his stapler and other office supplies in a jell-o mold!
Answer 3 :
Get everyone to play practical jokes on him and get every1 in on it so hell look like the guy every1 picks on, the dickhead of the group. do it on a regular basis like every day until he cracks then dim it down to a few times a week to let him know he is not liked. Upload porn on his computer background so the boss sees it maybe, call porno hotlines from his office number so the over charged phone bill comes back from his number. let down his tyres while hes at work so when hes going home....oh wait he cant go home hahaha. its just a few on the spot ideas that i would do cos i love playin pranks on people like that. hop this helps
Answer 4 :
Yep, there are a lot of guys like that in the office no matter where you go. I had that problem until I met a young lady who had a goal in mind to do her work and as she put it"the Hell with idiots". She tolerated this guy same as the one you described but she baffled him with intelligence. Every time he opened his mouth she stopped him and said "I know your the smartest person here and that is why your in the position your in, if God will just show you mercy, maybe he will include a brain so you can understand how ridicules you sound every time you open your mouth" then she would smile and walk away and not respond to anything he would say after that. It worked for me when i tried it, but I guess you need to figure out something in that perspective to tell him. I will suggest the other step , I smile and just look at him straight in the eyes and say "really, amazing" then walk away, it's not worth the trouble getting upset with a person like that. Good Luck

About i'm a starting/working actor in Nashville TN, if & when should I or do I need to move to LA to be successful

I'm a starting/working actor in Nashville TN, if & when should I or do I need to move to LA to be successful?
I've built a resume of some shorts, print ads and feature films I have worked on around TN. I have a strong passion to do this professionally and give it my all out best, but I'm just not sure if I would really need to move to LA or NY to get a good start.

Answer 1 :
I think you should follow your passion. You do NOT have to move to be succesful but it would NOT hurt. Good luck!!
Answer 2 :
I'm not too sure about this. I mean, i live in Nashville as well but I haven't heard of many areas needing actors. But who knows? I'm a musicain not an actress. lol But my best advice would be to do some research before you move, if you decide too. LA and NYC are super competitive for the movies and whatnot so it may be better to stay here.
Answer 3 :
LA all the way there is so many auditions
Answer 4 :
i think you absolutely should. in LA there are auditions every single day for tons of things. i don't know how many things ever get done in TN you would have to wait for one to come. besides it's great here, tons of other actors and classes and stuff.
Answer 5 :
you do not HAVE to move to LA to be successful- but its not the worst idea. but keep in mind, all the waitstaff in LA are actors. there is big competition out here. be ready! believe in yourself. and DO NOT let anyone discourage you. but you have to also be prepared for what you will and wont change about yourself.

The bars/restaurants on Broadway attract the most tourists, so that would probably be your best bet. 2nd Avenue is pretty happening, too. Good luck

About moving to Nashville TN in a month, where should I live

Moving to Nashville TN in a month, where should I live?
I might be moving to Nashville for work and would be working downtown. What's a good area to live in. I'm single, 28 and looking to buy something in six mos to a year once I figure out the area so don't want to spend too much on rent, maybe up to $700. I would like the commute to be within 20 mins. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated... I should say that I'm coming from Washington DC so traffic can't really be any worse than it is here.

Answer 1 :
just a little warning about nashville...........can you say "traffic nightmare"?
Answer 2 :
Hm.. avoid living in Green Hills, Brentwood, Belle Meade, or Mount Juliet. These places are the most expensive to live in, and the people in them are generally rude. Try Old Hickory, Hermitage, or Donelson. That guy is right about the traffic. It's horrible, and the roads are constantly being worked on, so they're always down to only a lane or two at a time. A lot people in Nashville also have extreme road rage coupled with general ignorance.
